A Day With Auckland Live

On Tuesday 19th of September LC7 LC4 and LC2 went to spend the day at the Bruce mason centre. Our immersion in on creativty. We splited into two groups and Amy's taglist was split in half one half went into Jess's tag and the other half joined into Nicole's tag I was split into Jess's tag. The first thing we did was a drama piece with one of the directers the play was on witches and I was a child but their was also witches and animals. Here is a video of the play

The seccond workshop that we did was on sound affects. After that we had lunch. The last workshop that we did two girls showed us a dance piece and we played follow the leader with a robot one time a with 3 girls. That trip was so awsome!!!

Badminton

Me, Martina, Keira and Amy are running badminton teams for year 5 to year 8. Last week (Tuesday 3rd of September) We started our practice for year 5s and year 6s it was really fun and I am excited to do it next time. The same week Friday we have practice for year 7s to 8. Right now we are sorting out prices for trophies and equipment. In november there will be a badminton tournament for New Zealand and luckily we will be competing in it, yay. My challenge is getting everybody to listen because when you are working with big groups it's hard. My highlight is being to do something that i am passionate about and teaching other people.  

Max's immersion

For Max's immersion were thinking about silhouettes and art that we can in include into the school. In our first session we looked at what the project was going to be about. We also looked at who is tiffany singh and how she is going to help with the project. This project was started by some kids last year and I was one of those kids so I would like to carry on this project as my creativity project.

Jonos immersion

For Jonos immersion we where thinking about possible playgrounds. In our second session we created a piece of playground equipment. One of my challenges for this immersion was creating a piece of playground equipment. My highlight is looking at everyone's creations. I don't think I would do this as a project because I am not into playgrounds.

Amy's immersion

On the 4 of September LC7 and LC4 started our immersion on creativity. We all where put into a group I was in group 5 and we did our first immersion with Amy. Our first session with Amy we went to the park to explore how we can create our own playground at school. In our second session we served LC4 and my Questions were What is your favorite piece of playground equipment? and What do you do on the playground?. In the third session we created our own playground how far out as we want. My highlight if this immersion was creating our own playground because it meant that i could be really creative. One of my challenges was surveying students because most student where not doing independent work .I think that i wont choose this as my immersion because I don't play on the playground and it does not interests me to much.

One week projects!

Last week (21st-24th) while the ski trip people was in Queenstown the rest of LC7 had a one week project. The subject was on looking after our school, My project was on stopping kids from bullying animals that enter the school grounds. Our solution was that we would put signs around the school saying why and how bad it is to bully animals.
