One week projects!

Last week (21st-24th) while the ski trip people was in Queenstown the rest of LC7 had a one week project. The subject was on looking after our school, My project was on stopping kids from bullying animals that enter the school grounds. Our solution was that we would put signs around the school saying why and how bad it is to bully animals.

We are finished projects!

LC7 have finished this immersions projects.
In my project group was Martina, Patience and Emily. Our project was on air pressure and our big question was can air pressure be used for the purpose of a hovercraft? Our hypothesis was that we think that the force of the air pressure will help lift the hovercraft so it will glide along the ground. Found out that air pressure CAN be used to make a hovercraft and I worked really well. One of our challenges were that the time limit that we had felt like it was really short, But we finished in time with the help of our school caretaker. My highlight was watching our hard work being successful. If I was to do this again we would of liked to have a longer time limit.

Here is some videos\photos of us testing the hovercraft.

My explanation!

Here is my Explanation on how to play netball

Netball is one of the most common sport in New Zealand, and it is mainly played by girls and women. Netball first started in 1891 by Dr James Naismith in the USA people has still been playing it till now in 2017.

To play netball you have to know how to pass the ball to your team. There are 5 different passes which are chest pass, rainbow pass, long pass, overhead pass and bounce pass these passes can be used in any time in a netball game. To do a chest pass place both hands on the side of the ball a push hard enough that it would get to your target without touching the ground.

You don't want the other team to get the ball right, So defend the your partner.  Defending is a really popular thing when it comes to netball, To defend all you have to do is stay in front of you partner and when someone passes to your partner jump up high to catch the ball, remember that the person passing may prefer to bounce pass so be ready for that as well.

Lastly, There is shooting a goal. The positions that you have to be to shoot is goal shot and goal attack. To shot put you have to put both of your hands on the ball, hold the ball above your head aim to the hoop and push up so the ball goes into the hoop. You only have three seconds to shoot but still take your time it will pay off when the ball goes in and your team gets a point.

Overall the team that shoots the most goals winns the game.
